Maintenance#

The Gauge requires little or no maintenance. For availability it is best to keep a complete calibrated gauge head as a spare. The replacement of a gauge head can be done in less than an hour including verification of accuracy.

Change of the DigiScan measuring head#

  • In the Diag menu, after Login, click: “Shutdown” button to stop the gauge

  • Switch off the power supply, water, air

  • Disconnect the 15 pin electrical connector and close its cover

  • Disconnect Ethernet connector

  • Disconnect air connector

  • Disconnect water connectors

  • Remove the gauge from its support

Scheduled Maintenance#

  • Check and clean the gauge window glasses

  • Check the Camera Enclosure and connections for damage

  • Check Camera Enclosure Alignment

  • Gauge Width Accuracy can be verified at any time Off-line using the verification fixture.

Preventive Maintenance#

Every 4 years:

  • Change battery (note the gauge will still work without battery only the date and time is not retained)

  • Change the fan - desiccant cartridge unit

  • Change the cover gasket

Note: Normally the gauge should be kept sealed. In case it is necessary to access inside the gauge, the cover should be removed only in clean environment where the gauge will not be exposed to dust. Before closing the sensor replace the sealing gasket, and check that the surface in contact with the gasket is clean.

Spare parts#

The gauge is delivered with a kit of spare parts including:

  • 1 x Cover gasket

  • 1 x Center window glass with support and gasket

  • 2 x Side window glass with gasket

  • 1 x Desciccant cartridge

  • 1 x Fan kit

  • 1 x coin battery

Other spare parts (contact DELTA):

  • Optical bed (including camera, lens with filter, laser: aligned and calibrated)

  • Power supply kit

  • IO board

  • CPU kit

  • eMMC with gauge software

  • H15 connector kit

  • Water quick connect

  • Air quick connect

Change of window glasses:

  • Remove the air purge protective hood

  • Remove the window glass holder

  • Replace the window glass and gasket

SD Backup: to restore the gauge with factory software and parameters:

  • Unscrew

  • Push the SD card assembly towards CPU board

  • Screw to maintain the SD card
