Option Grade table#
Description#
For cold width calculation the gauge uses a thermal expansion coefficent which can be set in the setup message sent to the gauge. The coefficient of expansion α varies with the temperature of the materials. To take into account this variation, the curv giving α at different temperature can be entered in the gauge.
File format#
Format: {“Grade num”, [“Grade name”, [temperature value], [α coefficent value]], ….}
The value of α between 2 temperatures given in these tables is obtained by a linear interpolation.
The grade table file is available in the “plugin” folder. Each plugin folder includes a file giving the value of α at different temperature. The plugin can be selected in the “Setup gauge” menu.
